Contouring

our third lesson was on countouring. countouring is when you use different make up products either 1 or 2 shades darker for your skin and 1 or 2 shades lighter than your skin tone. We use the lighter shade to enhance and certain parts of your face pop and the the contour to hide certain parts of the face and make things apeear smaller.

Before carrying out the treatment i made sure to sterlize the counter and i made sure that the equipment was correctly set up.

Step 1:

i made sure that i cleansed off all the make up of the clients

i then mosisturized the clients face, this time i decied to use a smashbox photofinish original primer

i used the primer as it was siliconed based and it gives a nicer smooth finish and apperance to the skin also making the make up last longer

i again used the products Mac face and body as the foundation as my base i used the colour C8 and mixed with C6 as the client was of olive skin. so i had to mix the tow colours together to get her skin tone

i then tested the foundation on the corner of her face to make sure the colour was the corrrect shade. After that i then blended it out with a blending brush

i then put a bit of translucant powder on the face to make sure that it was set, however i put it only on the t-zone so that it wouldnt loose the radient look

i then used a concealer that was a lighter shade to high light underneath the eyes and down the nose and on the chin to enhance the face.

i then asked the client to suck in her face so i could get to the angle of the cheekbone, i then used the darker shade to contour, i then contoured the side of the nose and the tip of the nose. i also contoured the corner of the forhead as the client had an oval face.

As theire are differnt face shapes you have to contour according to the face shape.

Evulation.

I feel that i am very good with countouring and that i am happy with the techique i made it very strong on the cheeks, however i wish i made it srtronger on the top of the forhead. Overall i am happy with my performance
