Classic Smokey Eye

This lesson was on how to do the classic smokey eye. A smokey eye adds drama and also a very sultry eye to the face making heads turn as it looks so dramatic.

Before carrying out the treatment i made sure that i had sterlized the work top and made sure that i laid out all the right equipment

Step 1:

i cleansed my clients face removing any make up products

i then used the smashbox photofinish original primer to make the foundation last longer and and go on smoother and blur out any imperfections on the skin

As you are ment to start with the eyes always i used the blacktract eyeliner to draw the a line for the conner of the eye to the crease of the eye. Making sure that your blending it out as you dont want any harsh lines. As black tarck dries very fast you need to make sure that you do one eye at a time.

I then filled the eye in still with black track. I then decided to press Mac black eyeshadow with an eyeshadow brush onto the eye to make it darker and give it the ultimate smokey eye.

I then went back in with a bit of brown on the top of the crease and blended it out. I then added some swiss ivory colour eyeshadow on top of the brown and again blended it out.

i then decide to cut down the process of the highligh countour and foundation routine by geting all three colours alrady ready.

i then got a black eyeliner and went in the waterline and drew a black line to create a darker eye. i also repeted this step and did it again on the top of the waterline in the eye.

i then put the lighter Mac creme foundation undernath the eye, then i got a darker shade and made a contour line, then put the actual shade of the foundation to the bottom half of your jaw line.

i then got a blending brush to make sure that all the foundation clours were blended out evenly. This process cut out alot of steps but still looked completly beautifuly.

i then went back in with a thin lip brush and went underneath the eye with balck still creating and adding that smokey look.

To then complete the look i have decided to add a nude lip. I used Mac Myth but used foundation on the lips first then lined the lips with velvet teddy and coloured the lips in with the liner and then put my Mac myth to get the ultimate nude lip.

Evulation

i feel that i took on the task to my best ability and that i followed instructions correctly. however i feel tha my look was more editirorial and that my smokes eye was a bit too high up and would of looked a bit better if i blended it out more. Overall i am happy with my effort.
